One part molecular nutrition scientist. One part supplement industry insider. All in on advancing women's health through Thought-Full Nourishment

Karin Hermoni, PhD

My PhD opened a new and colorful world. Through the lens of molecular nutrition and plant bioactives, I began to see the link between the lab and the table. What we put on our plates and in our cups can actively shape our health for the better. Food isn't a magic cure, but used with intention and precision, it can be close to magical.
Two decades at the forefront of the dietary supplement industry followed: developing science-driven ingredients, leading innovation programs, running clinical trials, and specializing in scientific storytelling.
Along the way, I noticed that even when the science was strong, we were underestimating the power of the mind — the intention and the ritual that turn nutrition into nourishment.
I lived that insight personally. When an ACL injury sidelined me at the start of COVID (with elective surgeries paused) - I combined the nutrition I knew best with mind-body practices I'd read about but never fully committed to. As a scientist, what I realized was striking: my mission isn't just to develop great nutritional solutions. It's to help people understand and embody them. Nutrition is powerful. The mind is a missing ingredient. Used with intention, it can multiply the overall effect.
Working inside the industry also made me acutely aware of the gender data gap. My own experience navigating perimenopause gave that awareness weight and urgency — and a passion for bringing food as medicine, with a feminine focus, to the women who need it most. (More on that on the [Women's Health] page.)
Today I work in two related worlds. I help companies build products the science can defend. And through keynotes and workshops, I bring the same science into everyday life — as small, actionable nutritional tweaks and rituals that help us tune in.
Because nourishment is more than nutrients.

The Food Matchmaker

Just like people — nutrients form relationships. Some immediately start a love story and elevate each other, others are in friction and when together — neither gets to shine fully. They are better off apart. I am the matchmaker. And with some guidance from me — you will learn to be a food matchmaker too!
